TIS Hydraulics receives major distribution manifold order from Halliburton
TIS Hydraulics Ltd., the Aberdeen-based instrumentation and fluid power company, was recently approached by oilfield services and product provider, Halliburton, to design a 10-valve medium pressure distribution manifold for an ongoing project that Halliburton is working on in Houston, Texas US.
Ramko Hydraulics launches new customer-focused website
Ramko Hydraulic Cylinders Ltd., a hydraulic cylinder supplier and manufacturer based in Northern Ireland, has enhanced its online presence by launching the company’s first mobile optimised website.
Hose identification made simple
CILS self-laminating durable labels have been designed with the aim of making hose identification simple in all industrial environments and weather conditions; protecting crucial data such as pressure ratings, temperature ranges, barcodes, date, hose life and manufacturer information etc.
Apex Hydraulics keeps on the right track for effective maintenance
Unforgiving environments present challenges for hydraulic systems that depend upon clean oil, sound seals and piston rods free of dents in order to function. The rail maintenance industry provides a particularly harsh atmosphere for hydraulics. The grinding process can cause sparks, damaging parts such as seals. The fast speeds can see stones and debris bouncing up and hitting the rod at speed, causing dents, which can develop in to scoring, peeling and pitting to piston rods, which can then damage the seals, causing leakages and premature failure.
The new RCT coupling from Reich-Kupplungen
Reich-Kupplungen has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of the RCT series, consisting of torsionally stiff flange couplings for diesel engine drive systems.
Low-approach slide bed system
The vehicle recovery market has traditionally been supplied with hydraulic slide bed-type vehicles for many years. These generally give an approach angle of between 7 -9 degrees depending on chassis and body length.
Bobcat excavators increase power and reliability at Southgold
From internal demolition work to groundworks projects, new Bobcat compact excavators supplied by Authorised Dealer, Bobcat of London, are providing increased power and reliability for Southgold, the South London-based family-run construction company, specialising in both new build and conversion projects throughout the South East of England.
AMC Jets uses big data to cut hydraulic failures
AMC Jets has over 20 years’ experience in servicing companies using high pressure water jet cutting technologies worldwide. A potential and widespread issue in the field of operations is a reduction in hydraulic system pressure, which often leads to performance decay of the water pressure intensifier.
Hydrotechnik expands gas charging test kit product range
Hydrotechnik UK has expanded its range of gas charging and testing kits. Five kits now make up the range from simple test and charging kits for under £200 through to the new World Wide Universal kit, which caters for over 95 per cent of the world’s accumulators. A new detailed catalogue showcases the full range.
Titanium oil coolers with ten-year guarantee
Bowman oil coolers are recognised worldwide for their performance, reliability and durability across a range of demanding hydraulic cooling applications. However, the company adds that some cooling requirements demand even higher levels of durability, due to the highly aggressive nature of the cooling medium used in the system.
New range of pumps, motors and control valves from Kawasaki Precision Machinery
Kawasaki Precision Machinery set out to help manufacturers improve efficiency and cost savings, with the launch of a new range of pumps, motors and control valves at Bauma in April.
Oilgear manufacturing investment leads to pump range expansion
A new range of variable displacement pumps has been launched to the EMEA market as a result of a multi-million pound investment made by Oilgear to its manufacturing facilities. The new range of axial piston pumps complement Oilgear’s existing product range and add greater flexibility and efficiency for the company’s bespoke electro-hydraulic packages; suitable for industries as diverse as construction, marine and defence.
New test bench at KTR
KTR has installed a new test bench for large couplings at its headquarters in Rheine, covering a performance range up to 500,000 Nm. The test bench allows users to calculate mechanical coupling parameters and perform service life testing.
ATEX-certified gear couplings from R+L Hydraulics
R+L Hydraulics GmbH now offers Lovejoy gear couplings with ATEX-certification. These robust gear couplings excel with high performance and simple maintenance, resulting in cost-efficient solutions. Typical applications include pumps, chisels, mixers, presses, steelworks, conveyor equipment, etc.
High valve performance in compact form for medical device applications
Parker Hannifin has unveiled its VSO LowPro miniature proportional valve for controlling the flow rate of inert gases in medical equipment. Just 16mm wide by 14mm tall, the valve addresses a key requirement for small portable devices where installation space is at a premium.
