Overcapacity constrains Chinese industrial robot market growth

The Chinese market for industrial robots reached an estimated US$1.3 billion in 2015. This market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 per cent, reaching $3.3 billion in 2020, according to IHS Inc., the global source of critical information and insight. China accounted for 13 per cent of global industrial robot sales revenue in 2015, and is expected to comprise 25 per cent in 2020.


UK Trelleborg Sealing facility obtains ISO/TS 29001:2011

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ seal manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury is believed by the company to be the first of its kind to obtain the international quality standard PD ISO/TS 29001:2011.


Beko Technologies UK opens new building

Beko Technologies UK – developer, manufacturer and supplier of high-quality components for compressed air processing and condensate technology – officially opened its new building in Redditch on 13 April. Saskatchewan Uni lab manager wins Moog oldest operating servo valve contest

The Industrial Group of Moog Inc. declared Doug Bitner, manager for the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Engineering Fluid Power Lab, the winner of its contest to find the oldest operating Moog servo valve after he sent in a video showing lab equipment running with a Moog 21 Series servo valve manufactured in 1963. Moog launched the contest last September as part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Moog’s operations in Europe.


Apprenticeships pledge from engineering employers
