Overcapacity constrains Chinese industrial robot market growth
The Chinese market for industrial robots reached an estimated US$1.3 billion in 2015. This market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 per cent, reaching $3.3 billion in 2020, according to IHS Inc., the global source of critical information and insight. China accounted for 13 per cent of global industrial robot sales revenue in 2015, and is expected to comprise 25 per cent in 2020.

Saskatchewan Uni lab manager wins Moog oldest operating servo valve contest
The Industrial Group of Moog Inc. declared Doug Bitner, manager for the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Engineering Fluid Power Lab, the winner of its contest to find the oldest operating Moog servo valve after he sent in a video showing lab equipment running with a Moog 21 Series servo valve manufactured in 1963. Moog launched the contest last September as part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Moog’s operations in Europe.
