Record-breaking attendance at the NFPC’s annual industry open day


On 23rd October 2024, the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, hosted its 12th annual Industry Open Day, marking its most successful event to date. Over 300 attendees, including students and representatives from national and international companies, gathered to explore advancements in hydraulics, electro-hydraulics, pneumatics, control, and automation technologies.

InProcess, a spinout from the University of Strathclyde, has developed the world’s first real-time inspection system for welding. The innovation, which uses ultrasonic waves to detect defects as they occur, has the potential to save manufacturers millions of pounds by reducing rework and delays in production.
