Process automation has delivered huge benefits for manufacturers in many industries. In everyday use, plant operators are far from being made redundant, they still need to make regular inspections of the process, among other things, looking for leaks and making sure the control valves remain in good operation condition. These activities are made easier by local diagnostics indicators, which are used on valves and local control distributions. Hydraulics improves offshore wind turbine base quayside lifting safety
Belgium based, REM-B Hydraulics has developed selfcontained, remote-controlled hydraulics powerpacks for connecting and releasing 1000 tonne, 85m high, offshore wind turbine bases during quayside lifting onto a pontoon, for leading international steel construction company, Smulders. Based on a cordless, Enerpac XC-Series hydraulic pump, the hydraulic shackle release powerpack is claimed to be a safer alternative to dangling long lengths of hydraulic hoses connected to a quayside pump.
Bearing proof load testing machine for accuracy and flexibility
