BFPA training courses break the 6000 barrier
In 2009, BFPA launched two brand new training courses: the one-day Foundation Course in Working Safely with Hydraulic Hose and Connectors, and the two-day Hose Assembly Skills Training Programme in response to market demand. Numbers have grown each year since then, with 2014 seeing the introduction of the Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management Course and the Small Bore Tubing Course and in 2017 a one-day refresher course for Hose Assembly Skills Training Programme was also introduced.
BFPA publishes latest updated version of P47 Issue 4 Guidelines
BFPA’s Technical Committee TC4 Connectors, has completed a review and update of the document P47 Guidelines for the use of hydraulic fluid power hose and hose assemblies which has now been published and is available free of charge to all members, with a small charge for non-members – please visit the publications pages of our website www.bfpa.co.uk

Call for abstracts for new International Conference on Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination in September 2018
BFPA and the University of Bath, Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control are hosting a week of conferences on aspects of fluid power and motion control in September 2018, with the BFPA organising an international conference on: Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination on 10 and 11 September 2018.BFPA would like to invite experts in these fields to share their knowledge by submitting an abstract (100-150 words) of a paper or presentation on aspects of Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination. BFPA launching new member service
BFPA is launching a brand new members only Business Support Service before the end of 2017 which will be accessible via a dedicated telephone advice line covering: HR/employment, Health and safety, legal, tax and VAT. In addition to the free of charge help line, a dedicated area will also be available on the BFPA’s website Members Only LogIn pages and will include a document librarywith 750+ free downloadable documents, a ‘My Account’ area, Free HR and H&S health checks, Online Shop and a ‘Book a call back’ facility.

BFPA’s 2017 Industry Dinner and Dance was held at the Imperial War Museum in Manchester Quays on Friday 3 November and was a very enjoyable evening.

New BFPA refresher training course launched
Many health and safety courses last for up to three years before a refresher is advised, and so in response to industry demand, BFPA has now launched a new refresher training course aimed at individuals who have previously completed the BFPA’s two day Hose Assembly Skills course.
