Hopespare acquires South Eastern Hydraulics

22 July, 2015

Hopespare Ltd., a company whose head office is based in Hemel Hempstead, has acquired and now owns South Eastern Hydraulics (SEH) Ltd.

Hopespare comments that the acquisition of SEH into the Hopespare Family Group will enable both companies to continue to provide their customers with seamless services. This will combine the hydraulic hose and connectivity expertise provided already in house with further technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and power packs complimenting that which already exists within the group.

Complete service

Hopespare Ltd. was established in 1986 and has been trading for over 25 years as a Certified Parker Hannifin Distributor. It specialises in the stock management of hydraulic and pneumatic hose and connectors for OEMs while also providing a complete service for the repair, replacement or preventative maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Hopespare Ltd. has 6 branches, including the UK's first ParkerStore and fleet of Hose Doctor mobile workshops.

South Eastern Hydraulics, originally established in Redhill in 1973 has become one of the UK’s leading hydraulic engineering companies. It offers a full range of services and skills to cover the full scope of the design, manufacture, refurbishment and installation of hydraulic systems, hydraulic power units and hydraulic cylinders. Also, as an official Parker Hannifin hydraulic distributor SHE can supply hydraulic components, hydraulic spares and assemblies made to order.

Combined force

Group managing director Peter Willson said: “With our combined force, we can continue to offer our experience, expertise and knowledge from design through supply to after sales support of all our customers’ needs through a wide range of cost effective, practical and reliable applications including but not limited to industrial, marine, mobile, aerospace and film industries. While remaining a relatively small privately owned company, I feel this acquisition will further enable and strengthen our standing in the market while continuing to be flexible in our response to all our customers’ individual requirements offering a complete solution.”

Former managing director of South Eastern Hydraulics, Chris Blevins, added: “I am pleased to announce our acquisition by Hopespare Ltd. The combination of their experience within the hydraulics industry and South Eastern Hydraulics comprehensive service offering strengthens our potential market opportunities and our combined abilities to address and provide a complete service to all our core end-markets. We are thrilled that Hopespare Limited has taken us into their fold and look forward to serving our customers and growing together.”
