Small power packs for offshore application
Hercules Hydraulics has recently designed and manufactured four very small hydraulic power units (HPU) for an offshore oil/gas installation.
The power packs will be used to open and close watertight access hatches. They were designed and manufactured in-house, built in accordance with DNV Class requirements and supplied with the European Conformity CE Marking.
Steve Radford, managing director of Hercules Hydraulics, said of the project: “The HPUs are only small units but they mark another milestone in the company’s development by showing
the broad range of services, skills, experience, competencies and depth of technical know-how and knowledge we have within the team.
The project clearly demonstrates both the willingness and capacity of Hercules Hydraulics to supply a complete engineering solution.”
