Ramko Hydraulics launches new customer-focused website

17 August, 2016

Ramko Hydraulic Cylinders Ltd., a hydraulic cylinder supplier and manufacturer based in Northern Ireland, has enhanced its online presence by launching the company’s first mobile optimised website.

The fresh new layout facilitates faster and smoother navigation for customers to view the thousands of ex-stock cylinders and hydraulic parts available with guaranteed next-day delivery service.

Ramko Hydraulic Cylinders recognises that, today, the constant increase in Internet traffic and online purchasing is largely driven by ease of access for the customer through mobile devices. Ramko reports that it has seen online purchases having increased by almost 20 per cent in the first Quarter of this year compared with the same period last year.

With this in mind, the company set out to create a more user-friendly website that could openly engage customers with Ramko and introduce them to the company’s strong online presence.

Barry Morris, Ramko’s managing director, said the company wanted to improve the user interface of the website, allowing customers to connect with the company and people behind it, “so we felt that a mobile optimised website with new social media and chat features was the way forward”.

The main aspect of the new web design was that Ramko’s website would be optimised to suit all devices. Customers can now view high-quality pictures, drawings and detailed product specifications on their mobile, tablet or desktop.

By adding features such as a Live Chat section, where a technical advisor is always on hand to help, as well providing links to Social Media Platforms, customers can stay up to date and engaged with all the latest news. Ramko’s new website also has several new prompt features, which allow for automatic dialling through the website or instant connectivity to Ramko’s email address. This further improves Ramko’s ability to communicate with customers.

Ramko comments that the new website has been well-received by customers. Gregg Stewart of Rite Engineering, Co. Antrim, said: “The design of Ramko’s new website is really good. I found it much easier to use. The navigation between products is much smoother and the Live Chat feature is a great idea for people who aren’t sure what they need.”
