Camozzi doubles size of training suite

11 May, 2016

Camozzi recently doubled the size of its training suite. The new facility is fully equipped with modular training boards, enabling delegates to get ‘hands on’ and build circuits.

Adrian Farnham, the new managing director of Camozzi Pneumatics Ltd., commented that the demand for pneumatics training was clearly demonstrated by the record number of delegates who attended courses held at Camozzi’s UK training centre last year. “Every course throughout 2015 was completely sold out,” he said. “Due to this success we made the decision to invest further, and demonstrate our commitment to training by doubling the size of our training suite for this year’s courses.”

During 2015 the most popular course was Level 1 Pneumatics, which is run over two days. However, additional courses are planned for introduction in the second half of 2016. The syllabus for Level 1 Pneumatics starts with the basics, including the structure of pneumatic circuits before moving on to cover symbols, port numbering systems (DIN ISO 5599-3) and component designation (DIN ISO 1219-1).

Delegates can then put their newfound knowledge to the test by completing a series of exercises on the training boards. Real-life applications are used to design and build several schematic circuits that are demonstrated with moving components.

Farnham concluded: “Our aim is to build on the success of our training centre by offering a City & Guilds recognised qualification in the near future. At the end of each course all attendees are asked to complete a feedback form and the comments received so far prove we are certainly on the right track.”
