BFPA 65th Anniversary Awards

To celebrate BFPA’s 65th anniversary year, we have made a series of member awards covering the following categories:


Corporate Social Responsibility

Rising Stars

BFPA Corporate Social Responsibility Awards 2024

This award was to highlight those companies that integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and interactions with their stakeholders instead of only considering economic profits. It covered 4 areas:

Philanthropic responsibility

Employee wellbeing and engagement

A culture of education

Environmental responsibility

Winner – Manufacturer Stauff UK Limited – Sheffield

Stauff showed us that they have a drive and passion for all criteria for this award; they proved a great deal of work in the community, an innovative Green Team that promote environmentally forward thinking initiatives, a great programme for employee education and motivation, and a fantastic employee wellbeing system.

Highly Commended – Manufacturer

Hydroscand Limited Hydroscand received this award for showing it is an ethical business with a long-term perspective. In all countries of operation, they contribute to local initiatives that support the communities they work in and provide training and education to their teams

Winner – Distributor Industrial and Marine Hydraulics Limited

The IMH entry highlighted that a strong set of company values are their guiding principles and these values are reflected in their philanthropic activities, their culture of education and continuous learning as well as how IMH drives employee engagement and looks after the wellbeing of their employees, the community and the environment.

Highly Commended – Distributor R & G Fluid Power Group Limited

Awarded for their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on both the fluid power industry and society at large, their dedication to sustainability, investing in employee growth and ethical business practices.

BFPA Young Rising Stars Awards 2024

This award recognised employees aged 30 or under who have made outstanding contributions to their role, to their company, or to the industry. Nominations identified examples of success and outstanding achievement in business and how these have benefited them, their company, or the industry as well as any work outside the workplace e.g. helping their local community.

Winner – Darcie Smith R&G Fluid Power Group Limited

“Darcie has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and growth throughout her journey in the fluid power industry... Her enthusiasm is what sets her apart, with a fantastic willingness to learn and eagerness to embrace new challenges”

Highly Commended – Connor Halford FPE Seals Limited

“Connor has demonstrated unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and a relentless commitment to enhancing his knowledge”

Winner – Charlie Hyde Antech Hydraulics Limited

Awarded for “being the backbone of the business, embracing the circumstances and challenges and proving to us all here what a complete asset he is to Antech

Highly Commended – Lewis Morley Festo Limited

“His exceptional blend of technical acumen, innovative thinking, and community engagement embodies the qualities of a promising young leader”

Highly Commended – Jay Latta Merseryflex Limited

Jay received this award as he “has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in his role”
