OP launches the Tubomatic V450ES horizontal production crimper

30 October, 2020

OP, the Italian manufacturer of hydraulic hose and tube processing equipment, has launched Tubomatic V450ES, a horizontal production crimper created to crimp hoses up to 3’’ 6 spirals, industrial hoses up to 16’’ and large flanges (ANSI 150) up to 12’’.

The crimper is available in two different versions: one with a crimping force of 660 ton and one with a force of 830 ton. This machine, with a die opening of Ø + 180 mm (7.08’’) and an opening without dies of 560 mm (22.04’’), was designed with a horizontal layout to make it ergonomic and practical to use. Due to this characteristic, operators can lift heavy hoses at a lower height.

Tubomatic V450ES is provided with an ES4 colour touch-screen display, which can be either placed on a mobile support or integrated within the structure of the machine. The crimper is equipped with a silent pump, a back-limit switch, a protractor for fittings orientation and, due to its self-lubricating moving components, is a completely grease-free machine.

Another useful feature of the crimper is the industrial hose crimp calculator system, which comes with all OP’s highvolume crimpers and is particularly useful considering the great variety of nonstandard ferrules used on the market. For any kind of ferrule used, the control panel of the machine automatically calculates the ideal crimping diameter, with the input of only minimal data: internal and external hose diameter, hose compression factor and ferrule thickness.

A wide variety of accessories is also available, including a PC connection by means of Wi-Fi or LAN, camera, barcode reader, electric pedal, multistep crimping diameters and data-save kit. OP has over 40 years’ experience in the market.
