BFPA Training Goes Online

12 May, 2020

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions on working conditions the BFPA has taken a look at our existing training courses and used certain elements to design two half day online courses that can be delivered to everyone with access to a media device, be it a laptop or computer, iphone / Android mobile telephone etc.

Both three hour courses will be delivered by one of our experienced trainers and are broken down into approximately 45 minute slots to allow for comfort breaks. Questions from delegates will be encouraged throughout these relaxed, highly visual online courses and we are confident that the learning will be enjoyable as well as informative

The Thread Awareness Online Training Course is aimed at those who work with, or specify common end terminations on a regular basis either or work in sales or environment or at a trade counter where the ability to identify a range of fittings and adaptors combined with an understanding of the correct safe working practices to prevent product damage is essential. The main characteristics of the most commonly used end terminations, the different sealing methods and how to use a range of measuring instruments and gauges will all be covered during the course.

The Working Safely with Hose and Connectors Online Training Course is intended as an introduction to the fundamental concepts of working safely around hydraulics and pneumatics. This course is ideal for those new to the industry or already employed and need to have a good basic understanding of hose and connectors. Safe working practises are there to prevent injury and this course aims to raise delegates awareness of the dangers surrounding fluid/pressure injection injuries, the importance of immediate action should one occur and methods of avoiding such injuries in the first place.

Both online training courses will be delivered on a regular basis and are open to both individuals and groups. We will be happy to agree separate training days outside of our normal schedule for those employers who may wish to have all their staff trained together.
