Ehrco embarks on new era of growth
Ehrco, the UK-based independent supplier of hydraulic hose and fittings, has celebrated its 25th year in business by achieving an 18% rise in turnover.
During 2017, the Dudley-based company – under the leadership of new director Bryan Leavesley – has extended its hose assembly production facilities to increase manufacturing capacity and expanded its client base to pass the 600 mark. Now, it is planning to achieve similar growth in 2018, which would take its turnover to over £3 million.
Ehrco supplies hose assemblies for industries such as food production, oil & gas, mining and construction, as well as hydraulic hose and fittings for lifting and handling equipment. It is the UK distributor for a number of leading brands; including Vitillo Group and Oleo Tecnica Flanges.
Founded by David Varney who had a background in the rubber industry, the company started trading in 1992. It now employs 15 staff and supplies customers throughout the UK.
2017 was also the company’s first year as part of Gruppo Bianchi, the Italian-based industrial products distributor, which acquired shares in late 2016.
Bryan Leavesley, who joined in September from Bristol-based Antifriction, another company within the group, commented: “Our Silver Anniversary year has marked the beginning of a new era for Ehrco. Wehave had strong support for our growth plans from our loyal staff, some of whom have been with the company from the start, and they are very excited about the opportunities ahead.
“We will be further enhancing our Dudley premises and launching a number of new products as the company continues on the next chapter of its story.”
