Metal Work Group launches new Metal Work Mechatronics project

During the past two years, Metal Work has invested in excess of 42 million euros into this project; including R&D and a new production plant fully equipped with automation systems. Metal Work Mechatronics encompasses the expertise developed with all four companies within the Group; namely Alfameccanica, Fluid Force, SPMC and Metal Work/P Service.

Alfameccanica produces components for the handling industry – including grippers, actuators and guides – and has recently complemented the range with the V-Lock, the brainchild of effective co-operation with the Swiss company Montech. 

Fluid Force comes in where pneumatics encounters hydraulics. The company has developed a number of special products for specific industries, and its mechanical skills have been instrumental in the assembling of Metal Work Electric cylinders.

SPMC is the latest company in the group that designs and develops assembly machines used to make Metal Work components. Skilled engineers from SPMC also support Metal Work worldwide in developing the correct solution for many applications.

Metal Work/P Service is the customer service side of the Group, with 46 subsidiaries throughout Italy and worldwide. Customers everywhere in the world have access to the company’s in-depth product and applications knowledge, which is fuelled by daily in-field data supported by IT tools such as CRM.

So, Metal Work Pneumatic is now truly a Mechatronics company specialising in the supply of components, and the development of complete automation systems. Its presence at Fluid Power and Systems 2018 will be aimed to promote this development further.
