MP Filtri contamination control training day success

12 November, 2015

MP Filtri staged a free training seminar titled: ‘Learn to win against the cost of contamination’ at the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) in Worksop, Nottinghamshire earlier this month. The day, which focused on contamination control within fluid power systems, attracted 190 attendees from 22 countries; representing a wide range of sectors – from industrial, mobile, oil & gas, agricultural, aerospace and power pack manufacture, as well as a number of large OEMs.

Programme

The day’s programme comprised the following MP Filtri presentations:

• Contamination in Hydraulic Systems –The Effects and Solutions: presented by Geoff Grant, product manager, contamination monitoring products.

• Product Selection – A Guided Tour – presented by Chris Durkin, UK sales director, Mike Dent & Matthew Kirchin, area sales managers for the UK. This fully animated presentation helped attendees to understand why specific filters are chosen for different applications.

• Filter Technology and Capabilities in Tank Design – presented by Paul Gavin, sales manager for Scotland and Kris Perks, UK special products manager. This presentation gave an overview of how hydraulic filtration works and the benefits of high quality filtration. It also provided an introduction to MP Filtri’s capability in computational fluid dynamics to optimise tank design and component selection.

These presentations were then followed by a workshop titled: A practical guide to MP Filtri’s range of CMP (contamination monitoring products) – introduced by Phil Keep, MP Filtri UK’s managing director, together with the CMP and NFPC team.

Attendees had the opportunity to speak face-to-face with MP Filtri specialists, as well as network with like-minded people within their market sector, and other areas of industry.

The full-day event also provided attendees with a certification of attendance as well as lunch and refreshments.

Interactive and informative

Chris Durkin commented: “Hosting our event at the NFPC gave us the ideal facility to deliver a completely interactive and highly informative training seminar.”

Feedback from attendees included the following:

“Thank you all for an exceptional event. We have taken a great deal from the day and look forward very much to a closer working relationship with MP Filtri in the future.” – Ian Crowden, OYS.

“It gave a great insight into the overall scale and number of products MP Filtri are involved with. The seminar also highlighted their forward thinking towards product improvements and increasing component portfolio. All presentations were well constructed and gave everyone, regardless of job description, a flavour of what the company has to offer all industry sectors. I would personally like to thank everyone at MP Filtri and in particular Paul Gavin whose presentation I found particularly informative.” – Tony Worwood, Brammer.

MP Filtri specialises in manufacturing hydraulic and lubrication filtration and condition monitoring equipment, helping customers to achieve and measure NAS and AS4059 standards and water content in control fluids.
