Ace golfers raise over £4000 for Cancer Research

Originally ‘on target’ to raise £3000 for Cancer Research UK, the 15 teams that took part have exceeded this goal by over £1000, with the current total raised standing at £4250.

Colin Mander, regional director, said: “The event saw many of our key distributors joined by suppliers and Gardner Denver internal teams for a great day’s golfing, with some ‘ace’ performances to make the day go with a real ‘swing’.”

Mander continued: “It was of course a great opportunity to network and talk to our customers about some of the new product innovations that we plan to introduce next year. But more importantly, it was about raising as much money as possible for a very worthwhile charity.

He concluded: “I’d like to thank each of the 60 golfers who gave up their time to come and support this great cause. In one day, we have raised enough money to buy the equivalent of a specialist freezer for the long-term storage of biological samples; just one small thing that will make a big difference in the fight against cancer.”
