Hydroscand UK builds community links with local school

Rebecca delivered an assembly to the children about what she enjoyed at school and her career. She also talked about what is done at Hydroscand, and all the different jobs people do in the business, along with pictures of the machinery  customers make and operate. As well as that she explained about the number of engineering and manufacturing businesses in the local area.

Rebecca said she thoroughly enjoyed the experience, despite her initial nerves. She commented, “I will certainly look for more opportunities to work with local schools to promote engineering and manufacturing careers, and hopefully some of the children will want to work in the sectors when they are older. I would definitely encourage anyone who can to do the same, it is rewarding for everyone involved!”

Mrs Goffin, head teacher at the school shared the details of the assembly with parents in her weekly newsletter. She said: “The children had lots of interesting questions and enjoyed the presentation she shared."

“Before they left, Rebecca and Aaron donated seven hydraulics science kits for the children to experience and use within school. The Children and Mrs. Wright, the science lead were all very excited by this and couldn't ait  to open them. A huge thanks to Hydroscand and the team for your time and building local community links.”
