Uniflex S2 crimpers for reduced machine downtime

04 June, 2020

The lightweight S2 crimpers from Uniflex help to reduce expensive machine downtime and are available in a range of variants in order to meet individual workshops’ specific requirements. According to Uniflex, the S2 hose crimper models are perfectly suited for on-site repair of hydraulic hoses in construction and agricultural machines, whether equipped with a manual, pneumatic or DC drive.

Lightweight

Uniflex adds that the manually driven S2 M Ecoline weighs only 29 kg and produces hose connections of up 1" (for two-part fittings) or 1 ¼" (for one-part fittings) quickly and safely. Its lubrication-free slide-bearing technology means working with the crimper is clean, while its sturdy frame ensures stability during crimping. In high gear, the new two-stage pump of the S2 M H version reduces the number of necessary pump movements so work can be done three times faster than before. With its retractable lever, the new S2 M H does not require much storage space.

The S2 P has a pneumatic drive, the S2 A has an automatic DC drive, and the S2 DC has a traditional DC motor. The models of this series feature a crimping force of 900 kN and 90 tons, resp., while the S2 LA has a crimping force of 45 tons. Uniflex states that the S2 LA can produce hose connections up to 5/8" (for 2-part) and/or 3/4" (for 1-part fittings) quickly and reliably.

Uniflex comments that these compact crimpers for universal use prove that even lightweight, cost-favourable devices can take advantage of the company’s slide-bearing technology. As is the case of all its hydraulic crimpers, the S2 series comes with a two-year guarantee.
