Hydravalve SIL3-rated solenoid valves and switchbox announcements

These solenoids can be used with any pneumatic actuator that has similar certification and that conforms to NAMUR VDI/VDE standards. The Morc range of solenoids particularly complement the Prisma range of pneumatic actuators – also supplied by Hydravalve UK – as they are also SIL3.

NAMUR mount solenoid valve

Hydravalve has recently introduced the SIL3 explosion-proof MC50 Series NAMUR mount solenoid valve to the UK market. These valves can be directly mounted to double- or single-acting pneumatic actuators. They are explosion-proof EXD IIC T4-T6 GB IP66 and can be easily changed from 3/2 to 5/2. The air connection is 1/4" BSP and power connection is 1/2" NPT. The valves’ ambient temperature is -20 to +70degC and they have duty rating of 100% ED.

Explosion limit switchbox Exd

Hydravalve has also recently introduced the explosion limit switchbox Exd IIC T6. The SIL3-rated switchbox comes encased in an aluminium die-casting shell and includes a mounting bracket in line with NAMUR. Also featured is a visual open/closed indicator.

It has a terminal block with 8 standard contacts and wiring connection 2 x 3/4" NPT.
