Valves Online to build ‘innovation centre’ near Plymouth

05 September, 2018

Family-owned Valves Online Ltd., one of the UK’s fastest growing e-commerce companies, is to build a new ‘innovation centre’ near Plymouth.

Based in Devon, the company launched the first ecommerce store for process valves and control solutions in 2003, meeting the needs of engineers looking to purchase valves from the internet. Since that time Valves Online has become recognised as one of the UK’s leading online valve retailers.

The company has secured planning consent to build a new ‘innovation centre’ on land next to its Yelverton Business Park base. This will enable the company to carry more stock and expand its range of 30,000 products, leading to faster deliveries, a click & collect service for local customers, and new employment opportunities.

Gary Hopkinson, managing director, said: “This has been over two years in planning, we are excited we can finally start building. Our new building will help us to bring better service to the South West and the UK whilst continuing to invest in the local area.”

Its technical team has also been praised for its in-depth engineering experience and recently achieved ISO 9001:2015 management system certification, reflecting its continuous dedication to quality and customer service.

New websites

The company continues to innovate and develop its websites and will be launching industry-specific ‘select’ websites this year.

Valves Online has recently become an official Pneumax distributor, offering an easy and quick way to buy the Pneumax range of pneumatic valves and components online alongside one of the largest ranges of actuated and manual valves, control valves, solenoid valves, controls and instrumentation available to buy on the internet.
