Elmo Rietschle launches vacuum models for heavy duty and industrial applications

Available from compressor and pump manufacturer Gardner Denver, the XD models for heavy duty installations and IV units for industrial vacuum have been developed to withstand the increased water vapour that is generated from wet and humid processes.

XD is the new name for heavy duty models for Elmo Rietschle’s claw, rotary vane and screw technologies, which are primarily used in humid processing environments. Featuring a protective coating, the XD range is resilient against dust and dirt, and suitable for demanding applications such as extrusion, industrial parts cleaning, meat processing and food packaging. These are also available with variable speed drives, so energy usage can be optimised at all times.

Meanwhile, the IV models for Elmo Rietschle’s VC oil-lubricated rotary vane and VSI oil-free screw ranges have been developed to achieve vacuum of 0.1 mbar. Capable of tolerating high inlet gas temperatures while delivering extremely low noise levels, typical applications include heat treatment, oil degasification, coating and freeze-drying.
