Moog receives Embraer Supplier of the Year Award

Helio Bambini, Embraer’s executive vice president, operations, said: “This award is a recognition for Moog’s technical knowledge and commitment, as demonstrated on the joint work with Embraer, for the development of the most advanced full fly-by-wire technology on the narrow body aircraft. Embraer is very glad to have Moog’s partnership on the E-Jets E2.”

The award was the culmination of Moog’s efforts to design, develop and qualify a full Fly-By-Wire flight control system, consisting of flight control computers and all the hydraulic actuators of primary surfaces, spoilers and ground spoilers for Embraer’s new E-Jets E2, the second generation of the E-Jets family of commercial jets, that will enter into service in early 2018.

 Strong teamwork

“The strong teamwork demonstrated by Embraer and Moog in overcoming the challenges associated with developing advanced technology flight controls was critical to our success,” said Trabert. “We are very proud to be supplying this state-of-the-art system on Embraer’s next generation, market-leading airplanes.”
