Hydroscand UK opens new Bristol branch

01 September, 2017

Hydroscand UK has opened its new branch in Bristol after several months of planning and searching for what it considered to be the perfect location.

Based on the Avonmouth Trading Estate just off the busy M5 motorway, the company is conveniently placed close to the docks, and can easily serve the whole of Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Branch manager, Ben Embling, chose the location and was largely responsible for getting the branch up and running, along with help from the Plymouth and Gloucester managers Ben Curnow and Nick Thomas. Ben Curnow spent much of his own time kitting out the new HoseExpress van, which involved stripping the van down and prepping it for paint, as well as building it all back up – including the on-board workshop. The company reports that this is the lightest full-size HoseExpress van in the UK, and is able to carry a total of 750kg of stock.

This latest development for Hydroscand UK comes after a recent restructure that saw the sale of three branches and the closure of two. However, the company comments that this has enabled it to focus on key locations around the country; with Bristol being the first.
