Morris Lubricants tips Jenkins to become British truck racing champion

20 February, 2017

UK independent lubricant blender, Morris Lubricants, is backing former BTRA British Truck Racing champion Dave Jenkins to regain his crown this season.

The Shrewsbury-based company has signed a new deal to sponsor Jenkins, one of the sport’s top personalities, for the fifth consecutive year, continuing his role as a Morris Lubricants Racing (MLR) ambassador.

Stone-based Jenkins, who finished third in the keenly contested 2016 championship, is now in the process of rebuilding his Man truck in preparation for the start of the new season at Brands Hatch on 25 March.

“I am very proud to be an ambassador for Morris Lubricants Racing and to endorse the company’s quality products,” said Jenkins, who is also chairman of the British Truck Racing Association. “The company is renowned for its quality products, which are competitively priced and offer an amazing technical support service. My family has been a customer of Morris Lubricants for at least two generations and I can remember seeing Golden Film barrels from an early age.”

Andrew Goddard, Morris Lubricants’ managing director, said: “Dave has been a fantastic ambassador for Morris Lubricants over the last five years. He embodies the spirit of British truck racing and has been at the top of the game for a long time. We believe that this is his year to get back on top and reclaim the championship.”
