Occo takes up the Brexit challenge

03 January, 2017

Occo Coolers (Telford), the UK provider of bespoke cooling solutions, says it will meet the challenge of Brexit head on with plans to advance even further into the global market.

The company believes the strong Euro and Government commitment to leaving the EU could open new doors in overseas trade for its range of air blast oil and water coolers.

Joint managing director Allan Cunningham said: “We already have a healthy turnover of overseas business as far afield as Nigeria, Kazakhstan and India but the weak pound has made our coolers even more attractive to foreign buyers.

“Our international customers operate in a variety of fields from general hydraulics to offshore, scientific and automotive applications. Over the next few years, we aim to develop our market share, explore new sectors and capitalise on the burgeoning export conditions.

“But, of course, we remain as committed as ever to servicing the hydraulic industry in the UK that forms the core of our business.”

Anniversary year

Occo Coolers (Telford) celebrated its 10th year in business during 2016, however the original brand has a rich pedigree, stretching back 40 years. The firm manufactures several standard ranges of oil and water air blast coolers but is recognised for the individually tailored cooling solutions it offers with quick turnaround times.

Standard ranges can also be adapted to conform with non-standard requirements, such as marine environments or ATEX Zones 1 and 2.

Occo marked its anniversary year with a new look for its website (www.occocoolers.co.uk), which is now mobile and tablet friendly. The easy-to-navigate site contains all the company’s product ranges, including discontinued items, along with downloadable technical data sheets.
