ACB expands its operations with Gardner Denver

The new facility, located on Whitehall Road Ind. Est. in Leeds, marks a new era in the company’s development, which has its head office based in Sheffield. With the ongoing support of Gardner Denver the business has more than tripled in size over the past three years, moving from a compressor sales and service company to a business selling the complete range of Gardner Denver vacuum and pressure equipment.

The vacuum service centre was officially opened by Vanda Jones, The British Compressed Air Society’s executive director and will offer customers a range of support options including workshop repair, a readily-available hire fleet of vacuum pumps and a wide range of genuine spare parts held in stock.

[subhead] Gareth Topping, vacuum and blowers manager from Gardner Denver, explained the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its distributors’ growth: “A healthy distribution network is good for the industry, providing customers with quality, local service and support for their compressed air and vacuum requirements. As a major manufacturer, our organisation has the size and scope to be able to support our distributors in a number of practical ways; from providing equipment training, to health & safety guidance to technical support.

“ACB is a perfect example of this approach. By investing our time and resources, we’ve helped ACB to broaden its offer, now adding a new vacuum sales and support division to its portfolio of services.”

Chris Hall, managing director of ACB added: “The Leeds workshop is a significant part of the growth of ACB and enables us refurbish customers’ pumps and blowers quickly thus reducing their downtime. With the support of Gardner Denver we have been able to ensure we have the right stock on the shelf and also a comprehensive hire fleet available for immediate delivery.”
