EPTDA allies with Drives & Controls magazine and trade show

12 July, 2011

The European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) is pleased to announce its recent alliance with Drives & Controls, the leading magazine for Automation, Power Transmission and Motion Control (DFA Media), and acclaimed industry trade show in the UK. This fresh partnership reinforces EPTDA’s development strategy to best serve its distributor and manufacturer member companies and keep up generating new membership benefits.

Drives & Controls is the only UK magazine dedicated to Drives, Power Transmission, Automation and Motion Control Equipment. Sales director Doug Devlin comments: “We are delighted to join the EPTDA as an Associate Member. The magazine celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year and has more than 60,000 mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control engineer readers across all the major industrial categories. We also organise the biennial Drives & Controls Exhibition, held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. The next show will take place from 17–19 April, 2012.

To complement the magazine and exhibition we have an interactive Web site www.drives.co.uk, which is updated frequently with news and information from the UK and around the world.” Devlin concludes: “We consider joining the EPTDA as a fantastic opportunity to meet companies who may be interested in growing their business in the UK through our highly successful magazine and exhibition. The professionalism of the EPTDA and the support so far has been excellent, and we look forward to introducing our company at the Budapest convention.” For more information about Drives & Controls 2012, log on to http://www.drives-expo.com/

Today’s industrial marketplace is ever changing, where innovations are developed at an extremely rapid pace. The EPTDA is committed to providing its members with networking, development and value-added business platforms fostering further growth. “This is what brought the EPTDA and Drives & Controls together”, comments Hans Hanegreefs, Executive Vice President of the EPTDA. At the biennial Drives & Controls Exhibition the EPTDA will host a pavilion, offering both its manufacturer and distributor members the opportunity to have a central and very visible presence, while still maintaining their individual company identity. All EPTDA members will benefit from a cost-efficient turnkey solution as all participants will have access to the necessary amenities without supporting the costs of a large own island booth. The EPTDA lounge will function as a meeting platform for all exhibitors at this important trade fair, fostering networking with many new or existing peers of the PT/MC industry and creating further channels to tap into the UK market and beyond. Those EPTDA member companies who wish to have their individual presence with a separate booth can benefit from the same EPTDA Member discount of 15%.

“This strategic alliance will help the EPTDA to create more valuable and tangible benefits for its members and better streamline the efforts of EPTDA and Drives & Controls to advance the power transmission and motion control industry in Europe.” concludes Hans Hanegreefs.
