Atlas Copco Compressors names Air Kraft as Distributor of the Year

02 April, 2015

Coventry-based Air Kraft Ltd. has been awarded the accolade of Atlas Copco Compressors’ Distributor of the Year for 2014.

Presenting the award, Paul Clark, Atlas Copco Compressors’ business line manager, Industrial Air Division, said: “Air Kraft’s team were consistent performers throughout the year and this award is a significant achievement because it is not based solely on meeting sales targets. Rather, it is assessed on key performance indicators for the whole business and the spread of growth versus that of the previous year.”

Craig May-Russell, Air Kraft’s managing director, attributes the result to his 15-strong team’s focus on energy-saving solutions, emphasis on the true cost of ownership and the importance of equipment service programmes – an approach that has helped to build strong relationships with a broad spectrum of industrial customers: “Our customers recognise the benefits of investment in a quality brand and the energy savings potential of advanced compressor technology such as that embodied in the Atlas Copco GA VSD+ range of industrial compressors,” he said.

The company enjoyed close to a 40 per cent increase in year-on-year sales during 2014, a significant proportion of which resulted from the supply of compressor equipment to major players in the energy-from-waste management sector. Sales of nitrogen generators also made an important contribution.

Since 1993, Air Kraft has provided a variety of compressed air, fluid power and energy saving solutions that include leak detection, pressure reduction, compressor control systems, compressor energy audits and energy recovery.

In keeping with other Atlas Copco distributors, the company is able to supply and install the full range of oil-injected rotary screw air compressors, comprising fixed speed and VSD units from 2kW upwards, together with Class Zero rated oil-free compressors up to 55kW, and all of the piston, rotary tooth and scroll operated models, complemented with air quality equipment such as dryers, filters and air receivers. Air Kraft also offers AIRNet compressed air pipework, ad hoc and fixed price compressor maintenance packages, genuine Atlas Copco spare parts and other aftermarket services, such as SmartLink data monitoring.
