Brevini UK investment increases capacity

12 December, 2014

Brevini Power Transmission has completed the first stage of its development plan which will eventually see its two UK sites undergo expansion to increase its warehousing, distribution and gearbox servicing capacity. The initial investment was spent at the Scunthorpe location to optimise the gearbox service centre and expand the offices to create space for product training for customers and graduate employees.

Following sustained growth in recent years in its key markets and planned expansion into new activities, Brevini Power Transmission has committed to a period of investment in the UK to help the sales and support teams continue to deliver a high quality service to all of its customers. The initial round of investment went to the Scunthorpe site which houses the Gearbox Service Centre and PIV sales team. The building was modernised and expanded to provide increased space with future expansion to the service centre prepared for.

Dave Brown, Brevini UK sales manager, commented: "The first round of investment has allowed us to increase the capacity in the service centre which means that we can continue to offer short lead times on a higher volume of gearbox repair and maintenance work. We have also updated the internal layout of the office space which in addition to creating a much improved environment for our employees has allowed us to dedicate a room for product training for our customers as well as the further development of our graduate employees; something that I feel is extremely important."

Brevini has committed to further investment over the next 24 months which will continue to benefit the Scunthorpe office as well as the company's UK HQ in Warrington which is responsible for Brevini's planetary gears and winch divisions as well Brevini Fluid Power.
