14 February, 2014

Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 – Approved Code of Practice and guidance The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 cover a wide range of basic health, safety and welfare issues and apply to most workplaces (except those involving construction work on construction sites, those in or on a ship, or those below ground at a mine). If you want to check up on what Standards you and your customers should be using for compressed air, go to the BSI website (www.bsigroup.co.uk) and type compressed air in the search box. This will show that there are 1697 for you to review but not which ones you should be using. By calling the BCAS Technical Department we can advise members which Standards they and their customers should be using as their route to compliance and best practice.
