Gripping new offering from Camozzi (Jan/Feb 2013)

31 January, 2013

The range of automation and motion control solutions available from Camozzi Pneumatics Ltd. has been expanded again following the launch of a new range of pneumatic grippers (pictured). Series CGLN wide opening parallel grippers have been launched as part of a wider initiative which will lead to the redevelopment of Camozzi’s entire gripper range.

The double piston design of Series CGLN guarantees a high gripping force from within a compact body which has four grooves to accommodate the insertion of magnetic proximity switches. Series CGLN is available in a wide range of bore sizes (10, 16, 20, 25 and 32mm) and strokes (20, 30, 40, 60, 80,100,120 and 160mm) so that workpieces of many different sizes can be handled.

This is a completely new range of grippers with improved material specifications and overall design. The gripper body and fingers are now constructed from hard wearing anodised aluminium while cushioning rings have been integrated into the gripper head to reduce noise and maximise service life. Multiple internal scraper seals have also been incorporated into the gripper body to prevent the ingress of dirt.

The entire gripper redevelopment programme was initiated following the acquisition of a specialist manufacturer of high precision machined parts by the Camozzi Group. Each new gripper will therefore now only incorporate internal parts manufactured from within the group so that the highest quality is guaranteed.
