PTMC Research Showcase (Oct 2011)
On 15 September the Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control (PTMC) at the University of Bath held a 1-day showcase to present some of the research ongoing in the Centre. There were 11 talks by current researchers covering projects in the fields of hydraulics, aerospace and control. There was also an opportunity to see how the relocation and refurbishment of the Centre’s machine systems laboratory is progressing. Twenty seven industrial delegates attended, including representatives of existing collaborating companies, and others interested to find out more about the sort of research the Centre does. Companies included: Aero Engine Controls, Servotest, Shell, Thales Training & Simulation, EADS, Spirax- Sarco, Airbus UK, Horstman Defence Systems, Schlumberger, Instron, Rotork Controls, EADS, Webtec, Delstar Engineering, Ricardo, and Parker.
