ROTAIR Unveils the MDVN30 Eco5

24 March, 2025

ROTAIR SPA, a leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of portable air compressors, multi-functional dumpers and hydraulic breakers for more than 60 years and a brand of ELGi Equipments, has announced the launch of the MDVN30 Eco5.

ROTAIR says its latest compact, diesel-powered screw-type mobile compressor is designed to deliver reliable pneumatic energy for industries requiring up to 3000 Lpm of compressed air.

Engineered to combine performance with efficiency in a compact design, the MDVN30 Eco5 offers an optimal free air delivery of 2950 l/min (94 cfm) at 7 bar (102 psi). This ensures sufficient power even for demanding applications and is ideal for general construction, pneumatic tool operations, ground rocket applications, and smaller blasting projects.

"The MDVN30 Eco5 is more than just a compressor—it’s a testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower industries to perform at their best. Responding to our customers’ and market demand, this new air compressor is the smart, cost-effective choice for companies seeking a dependable diesel-driven compressor with just that extra flow at 3000 Lpm," said Giuseppe Donadio, Managing Director of ROTAIR S.p.A.

"The MDVN30 Eco5 is designed with efficiency and reliability at its core. Our advanced pneumatic control system optimises fuel consumption by dynamically adjusting engine speed to match air demand, ensuring maximum performance with minimal waste. Additionally, the integration of high-efficiency filtration and a robust cooling system enhances durability, making it a dependable solution for rigorous operations in construction, and beyond," said Alex Persyn, Director of Product Management at Rotair S.p.A.

The company says the modern, and slender design of the ROTAIR MDVN30 Eco5 ensures easy transport and manoeuvrability, making it suitable for various applications. With longevity in mind, the electro-galvanised bodywork and chassis applied with advanced painting process provide resistance to wear and corrosion. Additionally, the unit’s optimised perfomance and efficiency come from Rotair’s exclusive pneumatic control system, which significantly reduces fuel consumption by automatically adjusting engine revs based on air demand.

The MDVN30 Eco5 features spin-on type filters, enabling quick and easy replacement. It includes independent air and oil filters for both the compressor unit and the engine, ensuring optimal functionality. Additionally, the highly oversized air-oil separator filter provides effective air/oil separation. The unit also incorporates a combined radiator, which supports both compressor oil cooling and engine liquid cooling, contributing to reliable operation. Superior air purification and durability come from a large single-stage air filter for the compressor, with an optional two-stage upgrade, and a two-stage air filter for the engine.
