Investment in a new building
After an intensive planning and construction phase, WEBER-HYDRAULIK has announced it has opened a new chapter at its Constance site: the move to the new, company-owned building in the Reichenau district has been completed. With a modern new building, the company says it is responding to the acute lack of space in its previous premises and creating optimal conditions for further growth and innovative developments. The move was a necessary step in order to meet the targeted growth in valve technology.
"Our previous premises, which we had put together from two rented buildings, simply no longer offered space for future-oriented development. With the new location, we now have ownership and significantly more space, which we could also expand further if required," explains Yannick Weber, COO of the group of companies. In addition to expanding the production and development areas, a key objective was to increase capacity in the long term and improve efficiency in all areas
The company says the new building sets standards in terms of sustainability. A PV system, combined with a heat pump and concrete core activation, ensures an environmentally friendly energy supply. At the same time, a modern working environment has been created that promotes teamwork through meeting areas.
Dominik Vogt, Site Manager with responsibility for the new building, emphasises: "It was important to us to create an environment that meets both the employees' and the technological requirements. The site offers the best conditions for growth and innovation". And Nathalie Wörner, Head of Development Valve Technology, adds: "By increasing the production area to 1,730 m² and a development area of 180 m², we can guarantee more flexibility in day-to-day business and faster development times.
The construction and relocation phase presented the team with a number of challenges. "It was particularly demanding to maintain production at the old site until the last minute while other areas were already moving," says Vogt. Thanks to careful planning, the most critical plant was put into operation with only a single day of downtime. The actual move was completed in just five days - an impressive feat by the entire team.
The new building is an important milestone in the further development of WEBER-HYDRAULIK's valve technology. As a separate division, the business unit valves, which is headquartered in Constance/Reichenau, will now benefit from the expanded possibilities and will be expanded even further from this year. The aim to open up new markets with innovative hydraulic system solutions, in which valve technology plays a key role, as well as with valve components as stand-alone products, and to strengthen valve technology as a central component of WEBER-HYDRAULIK's portfolio.
With the new building in Constance, the Group has set the course for the future. The company invested around five million euros in the project. "We are proud to have successfully completed this important step and look forward to fully exploiting the possibilities of our new building. Our focus is on offering our customers innovative solutions and consistently developing the Valve Technology business unit," concludes Wörner. The investment in the new building is proof of the Group's commitment to creating future-proof structures - for employees and customers.
