Larzep GB introduces new series of torque wrench pumps (Nov 2010)

30 November, 2010

Larzep GB has launched a new generation of torque wrench pumps providing high flow rates for fast job completion, high performance in demanding industrial applications and rugged yet lightweight construction for easy handling. The new range includes three models offering flow rates from 0.8 to 8.0 litres per minute and operating pressures up to 700 bar (10,000 psi).
Each model incorporates a host of standard features designed to ensure a safe, effective and reliable working life. These features include a comprehensive operating/safety manual, a dual scale pressure gauge, oil sight level gauge, a protective carrying/roll frame with cable tidy, four metre pendant control cable, automatic retract, an externally-adjustable torque setting valve with safety lock and dual quick-connect couplers/block for simultaneous operation of two wrenches.
Various specification options are available including a four-wrench manifold system, a 60Hz electric motor in place of the standard 50Hz motor plus a longer pendant control cable. Also, any length of twin line 700 bar/10,000 psi high pressure hose is available from stock. The new family of Larzep pumps is fully supported by a range of ex-stock torque tools and sockets up to 185mm, square drive tools up to 72,000 Nm and low profile tools up to 45,000 Nm.
Oliver Bain, managing director of Larzep GB, said: “The greater flow rate generated by the new pumps operating at the most common pump settings – between 100 and 300 bar – means that tasks are completed faster and overall productivity can be significantly boosted. Our sales team can assist in selecting the correct torque tool to ensure the pumps’ advantages can be optimized. Initial interest in the new range is encouraging particularly from customers working in oil and gas exploration, wind power generation and industries involving the use of torque tools in sub-sea applications.”
