Mattei shows how compressors can help save energy (June 2010)

24 June, 2010

Leading rotary vane compressor manufacturer Mattei will be highlighting how businesses can improve the energy efficiency of their compressed air systems at this year’s Energy Event (NationalMotorcycleMuseum, Birmingham – 8-9 Sepbemter 2010).

On hand at Stand 2 will be Mattei’s team of industry specialists, offering guidance on energy saving compressor technologies as well as related services such as leak detection and heat recovery – all designed to help companies reduce energy wastage and improve profits.

Mattei offers a wide range of highly efficient compressors, including the Maxima range.  The compressors have a high mechanical efficiency, using as little as an unrivalled 5.4kW of electricity to produce a cubic metre of air per minute.  In addition, the Optima variable speed drive range provides significant energy savings of typically 30 per cent or more of the annual operating costs when compared to a fixed speed compressor trying to serve a variable air demand.

Andy Jones, General Manager of Mattei, comments: “There is little doubt that energy is fast becoming an issue that all businesses are realising they have to address.  Attending the Energy Event is a great opportunity for us to highlight how compressed air users can improve the energy efficiency of their systems, not only by updating their machines as technology continues to advance, but also by looking at areas such as leak detection, which can lead to significant savings with a short return on investment.”
