Efficiency in its most compact form with Boge (June 2010)

23 June, 2010

Additional energy efficiencies can now be realised with the compact Boge CL series range of screw compressors. The 7.5 – 15 kW models, which are ideal for the smaller compressed air user, now come with optional built in heat recovery. Due to a compact design, high efficiency and low sound emissions, the CL series from Boge has long since been a popular option with the smaller industrial compressed air users such as workshops and garages. Continual product development at Boge has seen the CL series become one of the most energy efficient ranges. Building on this success Boge has now added an additional energy saving feature to this range in the form of heat recovery.

A very high percentage of the heat generated during compression can be reclaimed. This waste heat can be directed to heat rooms such as workshops or warehouse space or even to heat domestic water. Up to 85% of the nominal drive power of an oil lubricated screw compressor can be reclaimed using a heat exchanger which can create significant savings through heat recovery.

The Boge 7.5 – 15 kW CL series screw compressors are now available with heat recovery allowing the smaller compressed air user to also enjoy the energy saving benefits this can bring. As an option a heat recovery system can come attached to the compressor on the 7.5 to 15 kW Boge CL models. The heat exchanger is compactly attached to the cooler keeping space requirements to a minimum. The heat recovery can then be easily attached to a water system.

The Boge CL series not only offers great value for money and has already proven to be a winner in its class where reliability and longevity are prerequisites for the end users but, it now also comes with the additional energy efficiency benefits that built in heat recovery can bring. The CL series is available in the standard pressure of 10 and 13 bar. Output capacities range from 0.234 – 2.24 m3/min, motor power 2.2 to 15 kW.
