Small business support group brings in North West recruiter to help firms through tough times
A not-for-profit small business support and lobby group has appointed a new recruiter to spread the word about its work in the North West. The Cheshire-based Forum of Private Business (FPB) has brought in experienced sales professional Diane Elebert-Morgan to tell the region’s smaller firms about the benefits of FPB membership. The FPB provides its members with a variety of support services, including a member helpline, discounted utility rates and 24-hour legal advice. It also campaigns for fairer treatment of small firms, both through the media and through direct lobbying in Westminster.
Bolton-born Diane has previously worked in IT and also as a sales professional in the motor industry, selling advertising in prestigious titles such as Top Marques, Exchange and Mart and Autotrader. As a result, she says she is particularly aware of the problems facing independent garages and car dealerships in the current economic climate.
Commenting on her appointment, Diane, who has worked across the North West and Yorkshire regions, said: ”I’m really looking forward to spreading the word about what the FPB has to offer to smaller businesses in the North West. I’m genuinely excited about it because I’ll be working for a organisation which isn’t out to make money – it’s there to help and support small businesses in every way it can. That help and support is so important, now more than ever."
Diane added: “I’ve worked with a lot of small garages over the years – plenty of them in Cheshire - so I might well use my appointment as a chance to look up a few old friends.” Diane started working for the Knutsford-based FPB this week (w/b August 17) and will be covering an area stretching from Cumbria in the north to Stafford in the south.
