Argomaniz selects ELGi to support production expansion and automation

30 August, 2022

ELGi Compressors Europe, a subsidiary of ELGi Equipments Ltd, has announced that the Spanish company Argomaniz, a provider of hardware and hinges for beds based in Toledo, Spain, has selected an ELGi EG Series oil-lubricated screw air compressor to meet its process automation and production expansion needs.

Argomaniz sought an efficient and reliable compressed air solution running 24/7, for metal assembly and painting to meet its production expansion plans, including increased automation. ELGi and its channel partner conducted a full air audit resulting in the decision by Argomaniz to install an ELGi EG75V oillubricated screw air compressor with variable speed in January 2022.

Ignacio Bello, CEO at Argomaniz, comments: “After conducting an air audit with ELGi, it was clear that our (future) compressed air needs required an upgrade of our existing air compressor. We liked ELGi’s proposal because they were looking for the best way to support our specific business and compressed air needs, understanding what we, as their customer, require. And this is also the same way we work with our customers.

Stability and reliability

“Since the installation in January this year, the ELGi EG75V is efficiently meeting our needs for stable and reliable compressed air – critical when running 24/7 in a highly automated production process. The reliability, service and maintenance plan and technical expertise offered by ELGi were also instrumental in our choice."

Argomaniz began operations more than three decades ago as a stamping workshop focused on the automotive field. In 2001, it diversified its business and started selling hardware and hinges for mattresses, bases, and beds. Today, after several patents and an ambitious international expansion plan, Argomaniz is a reference in the field of beds and bedding with a philosophy built around the reinvestment of profit in research & development to deliver to its customers new and innovative products.

Victor Escolano Marco, regional manager Iberia at ELGi, says: “At ELGi, our definition of Always Better is closely coupled with us always being the customer’s choice. We pride ourselves on addressing our customer’s needs with comprehensive and tailored compressed air solutions. This starts with the customer’s needs, knowing their operations and business and their process automation and future growth plans.”

The sturdy design of the EG Series compressor range enables operations at extreme temperatures – from cold to hot and from dry to extremely humid conditions, leading to improved reliability of the compressed air system.

ELGi’s high-efficiency airends are equipped with in-house developed η-V profile rotors, with the 4/5 lobe combination, designed to run at low rotor speeds. This design reduces pressure losses, and together with the OSBIC (Oil separation by impact and centrifugal action), 3-stage separation provides bestin-class energy efficiency.
