RS Components adds Fluid Management to itsTechnology Solutions (May 09)

20 May, 2009

RS Components has added Fluid Management to its line of Technology Solution Guides. The company has dedicated a complete section of its Process, Control and Automation web pages to this new Guide to help its customers to make the most suitable product selection; whether implementing or updating a fluid management system. Information on valve sizing and selection, flow control and monitoring techniques and level sensing technologies is clearly presented and easily accessible.
“Our already extensive portfolio is growing all the time,” commented Julian Wood, market development manager for Process, Control and Automation at RS. “This new online guide demonstrates our continuing commitment to help our customers choose the best solution, saving them time and money.”

Tools, guides and software
Most fluid management applications include a combination of flow monitoring, using sensors or switches, with valves to regulate the fluid flow. The fluid is often fed to and from tanks, containers or vats that require level sensing to ensure the process is running correctly. With this in mind, RS has put together three sections – Solenoid Valves, Flow Monitoring and Level Sensing – containing a collection of useful tools, guides and software to help ensure the selected product meets the application requirements.
A series of case studies are also presented on the site. These demonstrate the key factors that need to be considered when implementing a fluid management system and provide customers with various application ideas.
