R+L Hydraulics cast aluminium oil reservoirs for simple handling

19 March, 2020

R+L Hydraulics GmbH has introduced an expanded series of aluminium oil reservoirs. The hydraulic reservoirs with nominal sizes from NG 3.5 to NG 130 have usable volumes ranging from 3 to 123 litres. The oil reservoirs are made of cast aluminium and easy to handle and stack due to their low weight. Besides their outstanding cooling efficiency, the tanks offer an excellent price-performance ratio.

The largest series production cast aluminium reservoir currently available on the market is the hydraulic reservoir with nominal size NG 130 and a usable volume of 123 litres. Given the calculated thin-walled design of the reservoir, this model has a cooling capacity of 2.1 kW at an ambient temperature of 40degC. Therefore, in many applications an oil cooler is not needed. Due to its low weight of just 25 kg, even the largest aluminium reservoir is easy to handle.

All reservoirs of the series are stackable, offering corresponding economies of storage space. The oil reservoirs can be fitted with oil level indicators and filters for filling and venting. They are available optionally with or without cast iron feet and castors. Baffles can also be installed. Besides the standard range, R+L Hydraulics also offers special reservoirs made of aluminium and steel, which may be prepared with special coatings depending on their intended field of use.

In addition to oil reservoirs, R+L Hydraulics develops, engineers and produces a broad range of components for fluid and power transmission technologies, including industrial couplings and hydraulic accessories such as test couplings, jaw couplings, bell housings and cooler bell housings, damping elements, heat exchangers and coolers. The products are used in a wide range of applications in machine building, shipbuilding and automotive, energy and environmental technology, in the steel and offshore industries and plant engineering.
