The HPS Group acquires new Preston premises

Hydraulic Pipework Services Group Ltd., supplier of a wide range of equipment to the manufacturing/engineering and construction sectors, has acquired Hydraulic Pneumatic Services Ltd. premises in Preston comprising in excess of 1000 sq ft, The site will complement the company’s existing branches in Rochdale and Leeds.David Lawley, sales director of

The HPS Group, commented: “Our Rochdale branch covers in and around Lancashire, while our Leeds branch covers the Yorkshire area. When the Preston premises came up for sale recently we felt it was ideally positioned to complement our existing sites in terms of equipment supplied, while perfectly meeting the needs of local customers as well as those in the Cumbria region, which we hadn’t widely penetrated in the past.”

The new Preston branch, which features a trade counter and extensive warehouse space, stocks and supplies the same range of hydraulic, pressure cleaning and pneumatic equipment as the other branches, and features the same HPS branding and logo.

Mick Hall, works manager at The HPS Groups Rochdale branch, will be taking up the role of branch manager at the Preston site. “We felt Mick would be perfect for the role, because of his sound industry knowledge and experience with the company,” explained Lawley. 

Due to its expansion, The HPS Group is also looking to appoint a new sales person to cover all the new and existing territories. As well as the branch expansion the group has taken the step of offering national next day service on its large product range.
