Delta’s European region adds director of business development
Delta Computer Systems’ senior systems software engineer, Dr. Tim Gessner, has been appointed as the company’s European director of business development. He has assumed responsibility for the motion control manufacturer’s sales and distribution management throughout Europe.
In his new role, Dr. Gessner will draw upon over 17 years’ experience with Delta in engineering development and applications support and over 30 years’ experience in the engineering and business fields.
Having played key roles in the development of the RMC Family of Motion controllers, Dr. Gessner’s business development and engineering background will add immediate value to Delta’s European sales distribution channel and with Delta’s growing customer base in Europe.
Dr. Gessner holds a Bachelor’s degree, two Masters degrees, and a Ph.D. from Scotland’s University of Edinburgh.
“We are pleased to provide our European customer base a results-oriented person with Tim’s industrial fluid power and control systems experience,” said Steve Nylund, Delta’s CEO. “With Tim initially based at Delta’s headquarters in the United States and moving to the United Kingdom in 2018, Delta adds more focus for continued growth in this important International region.”
