Direct drive servo valve for exceptional flow and dynamics

27 March, 2018

The Domin L050 direct drive servo valve (DDV) from Domin Fluid Power has been designed to achieve the best characteristics from two competing valve technologies: fluid amplified EHSVs and DDVs.

The L050 is claimed to have the size, weight and, dynamic capabilities of the most compact EHSV, and the low quiescent leakage and reliability of the best DDV. The aim has been to achieve efficiency in manufacture and operation with an emphasis on high performance with minimal energy consumption.

The valve includes on-board electronics (OBE), which can be configured to operate from either analogue or a range of digital interfaces (TBC). According to Domin Fluid Power, the L050 sets new standards with exceptional flow, excellent dynamics and high chipshear capability within a compact, efficient envelope.

Features

Main features include:

• Onboard electronics with spool position feedback.

• Rated flow of up to 50 lpm (at 70 bar DP).

• Maximum flow of up to 100 lpm.

• Bandwidth of >100 Hz (-3dB, up to ± 25% FS).

• Chipshear capability of >220 N.

• Low power consumption of

• Valve mass
