Get ready for the return of our industry’s main event in April

07 February, 2018

Fluid Power & Systems and Air-Tech are set to take place again at the NEC, Birmingham from 10 to 12 April this year. These shows are co-located with Drives and Controls and Plant & Asset Management, together with a brand-new show for 2018 – Smart Industry Expo. These exhibitions will also be staged alongside MACH, bringing over 40,000 visitors to the NEC over a single week.

Fluid Power & Systems 2018 – exhibitor taster

Just some of the exhibitors that have already signed up for Fluid Power & Systems 2018 include:

Glenthorpe Engineering Co Ltd.

At Fluid Power & Systems 2018, Glenthorpe Engineering Co Ltd. will be an exhibitor showcasing their range of inline & 90- degree swivel couplings available with a range of imperial & metric fitting as well as 10,000 psi & independent two port couplings. As a specialist coupling manufacturing company where all the couplings are manufactured in-house at Glenthorpe Engineering’s UK factory it allows for bespoke solutions to be discussed with customers who may have non-standard swivel coupling requirements. David Hambrook, Glenthorpe’s managing director, commented: “The main reason we made the decision to exhibit at Fluid Power & Systems 2018 was in order to increase awareness of our company brand and product offerings within our target markets. We see the show and its wide visitor base as the ideal vehicle for us to speak with prospective customers as well as catch up with existing customers – all in a conveniently placed central location within the UK.”

Balflex

This will be the third outing for Balflex at Fluid Power & Systems. During the 2018 event, the company will present the latest developments within its hydraulic hose and assembling machinery ranges. Balflex will also present its new catalogue, featuring an improved design and containing details of all the company’s products that have been introduced over the past two years. Balflex comments that it is always looking for partners for long and profitable relations, and so views the exhibition as a good opportunity to make new connections. Balflex is a Group of Companies established in 1963. Today, it is one of the largest worldwide independent hydraulic hose manufacturers with a production capacity of 1.6 million meters each month.

Air-Tech 2018 - exhibitor taster

Among the exhibitors that have already signed up for Air-Tech 2018 are:

Mattei Compressors

Mattei Compressors will be exhibiting a selection of its high-quality, energy efficient rotary vane compressors at Air-Tech 2018. Representatives from the Mattei team will be available throughout the exhibition to discuss compressor and control products, and provide advice on how to improve energy efficiency and keep carbon emissions and running costs to a minimum through additional services such as leak detection, energy audits and data logging. Andy Jones, managing director at Mattei, said: “We are all very much looking forward to seeing familiar faces and new potential customers at the exhibition. We’ve been exhibiting since 2008 and it’s always a great opportunity for us to showcase our innovative range of products, and provide advice on cutting the capital and running costs of a compressor and reducing energy consumption.”

SCR Air Ltd.

SCR Air first exhibited its SCR range of oil-free and oil-injected compressors at Airtech 2016 and reports that it found the show to be an ideal platform to launch the products to both end users and distributors alike. Since the 2016 event, the R&D engineers at SCR have been busy developing a new range of highly efficient permanent magnet screw compressors, which will be exhibited at Air-Tech 2018. SCR’s permanent magnet range of compressors start with compact tank mounted units from 7.5kW to 15kW, with larger machines up to 110kW also available. All SCR’s PM machines feature IP65 oil cooled motors, with machines over 15kW delivered with SCR’s new tablet style touchscreen controller and a variable speed cooling fan as standard. Not only does SCR’s VSD cooling fan reduce running costs, but it also makes the compressor extremely quiet, with noise levels around 67dB. SCR Air will also launch its Premium Efficiency ‘EPM’ range of permanent magnet compressors at Airtech 2018. The EPM range features an oversized airend with a low rotational speed, meaning the same airflow can be generated by a machine typically one size smaller than a standard compressor.
