Glenthorpe Engineering adds metric DIN-L, DIN-S & DIN-bulkhead to its production coupling range

Currently, ¼” BSP through to 2” BSP represent the company’s stock offering in both Inline and banjo-90-degree style couplings. Now, in its 53rd year Glenthorpe Engineering has been designing and manufacturing hydraulic rotary swivel couplings since 1962.

Inline coupling sizes available for next-day delivery will soon be available in DIN-L6 (M12) through to DIN-L18 (M26) and DIN-S6 (M14) through to DIN-S16 (M24) with the larger sizes DIN-L22 (M30), DIN-L28 (M36) and DIN-S20 (M30). DIN-S25 (M36) will also be added in the near future. DIN-L35, DIN-L42, DIN-S30 & DIN-S38 will currently remain as manufactured to order items.

Also, a range of popular male x male J.I.C sizes available for next-day delivery are planned for 2018 – again, currently available as a made to order option. The inline DIN couplings come in the following pressure ratings options:

• High pressure range rated to 350 bar (5075 psi).

• Extra high-pressure range rated to 420 bar (6090 psi).

• Super high-pressure DIN S @ 630 bar (9137 psi) (manufactured to order).

Usages can be for oil, water or air, as well as seal variants for different applications.

It is intended that these additions will address current issues that users are finding with poor availability when requiring DIN & J.I.C fittings on their machinery.

Bringing these fitting types in Glenthorpe’s production offering now means these products will become a stock item ready for potential next-day delivery and also carry a lower price point to that of a previously manufactured to order item. Other non-standard fittings would of course still be available on a manufactured to order basis.

All fittings are manufactured by Glenthorpe Engineering Ltd. in its UK factory.
