PCVExpo 2012 is on the horizon

27 June, 2012

PCVExpo ( http://www.pcvexpo.ru/home/default.aspx), Russia’s key industrial pumps, compressors, pneumatics, valves, actuators, engines and seals exhibition is only four months away now. The exhibition will take place on 22 – 25 October 2012, in Moscow’s Expocentre Exhibition Centre, Russia.

Last year, more than 300 companies from 19 countries participated at PCVExpo. The 4 day event was attended by over 5,500 specialists from all regions of Russia including key end users as such as Gasprom, Mechel, Surgutneftegas, Sibur, Lukoil, Transneft, Severmash, Rosvodokanal, Mosenergo.

Among regular exhibitors are leading international companies, such as Rotork, Hoegfors, Allweiler, Gemue, Netszch, KSB, Atlas Copco, Auma, Bauer Kompressoren, Gardner Denver, and Kaeser Kompressoren. Mark Kordonskiy, Director of Kaeser Kompressoren Representative Office said: "This is the 7th time in a row we have taken part in the exhibition. Our main goal at the exhibition is to showcase our equipment to the maximum number of the Russian companies".

PCVExpo (( http://www.pcvexpo.ru/home/default.aspx) is organised alongside Russian Pump Manufacturers Association, Compressors and Pneumatics Association and Scientific and Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association. It is supported by the Union of Manufacturers of Oil and Gas Equipment, European Committee for the Valve Industry (CEIR), European Association of Pumps Manufacturers (Europump), Russian Association of Water Supply and Water Waste.

Christine Lindenau, VDMA Valves Manager for International Markets, Official Representative of German Pavilion said:"I am the representative of German Professional Union. During the exhibition special attention is paid to the cooperation with the Russian side, this is a very important market for us. The impression from PCVExpo 2011 is very positive. We are grateful to the organisers for the opportunity to take part in the exhibition and wish everybody success in arrangement of this large-scale event."
The Russian market offers great opportunities for international companies. While there is stagnation and even economic downturn in many countries, the economic growth in Russia reached 4.3% in 2011. Sectors including oil and gas, heat and water supply, food and beverage are developing and in 2011 manufacturing in Russia rose by 4,7%! Massive regeneration investment is being put in place by both public and private sector, as the need for modernisation in manufacturing and new buildings is extensive. This is promoting the growth of Russia’s cable and wire industries. Business potential for cable and wire products is immense.
Furthermore, the country has recently joined the World Trade Organisation (WTO), which means the removal of trade barriers between Russia and other countries will generate far more investment into the country, easing the process of import and export. Within the next 5 years export tariffs will drop dramatically, enabling international companies to sell their products in the Russian market at more competitive prices.
