Tom Parker responds to new legislation with ‘Protect-Air’

11 June, 2012

In response to increasingly stringent legislation on the safe usage of pneumatic equipment and new directives governing the safety of employees from industry associations such as ISO, Tom Parker Ltd. is placing even greater emphasis on health & safety issues in its 2012-2013 catalogue. The company comments that the focus is very much upon both preventing accidents in the workplace as well as compliance with industry legislation. For these reasons, the addition of the ‘Protect-Air’ range of pneumatic safety units is a significant one.

Tom Parker’s sales manager, Seb Cole, commented ‘In recent years, health & safety has become the paramount consideration for every employer and in every workplace. So it’s hardly surprising that this relationship with ‘Protect-Air’ has attracted an unprecedented amount of industry interest’.
The ‘Protect-Air’ range incorporates products such as the HoseGuard airfuse, a protection device for compressed air that automatically cuts off the air supply when the air flow exceeds a pre-set flow rate in the event of a sudden rupture in a compressed system, pipe or hose. Another product from the range SaveAir is a pre-set inline, energy saving, independent membrane regulator suitable for installation in any compressed air system. SaveAir supplies a constant, exact outlet pressure which is factory-set and tamper-proof, regardless of the input pressure.
Cold concluded:“We are delighted to be working with ‘Protect-Air’, particularly in the light of the fact that safety considerations have become a prime concern for us here at Tom Parker Ltd…In the final analysis, it’s fair to say that, with ‘Protect-Air’ on board, we really do offer our customers the complete safety package.”
