Filtration Group welcomes Mahle Industrial Filtration to its portfolio
Filtration Group, a subsidiary of Madison Industries, has taken over the Industrial Filtration division of Mahle. Last autumn, Mahle announced that it wanted to withdraw from the industrial filtration business. The division employs around 900 people worldwide.
The Industrial Filtration business, whose products are used in areas such as industrial plants and in the production of food, has little in common with the main features of Mahl’s core business, the automotive industry. “We are pleased to have found a buyer in Filtration Group, who can develop our industrial filtration business further thanks to their expertise and size,” said Wolf-Henning Scheider, chairman of the Mahle Group Board of Management.
The aim of the company acquisition is to grow and further develop the industrial filtration business. With the acquisition, Filtration Group is expanding its product portfolio and strengthening its presence in the German market. “We are very happy to have the knowhow and technical competence of the employees, who have built up a really remarkable business,” commented Steve Felice, chairman of Filtration Group.
Filtration Group, headquartered in Chicago, US, serves a varied group of customers with filter solutions in the areas of health, process technologies and in liquid and ambient air applications. With development and production locations around the world, Filtration Group supplies its customers from 80 locations in 20 countries.
